Wordless Wednesday – guilt

So.

I got words.

Abby’s new thing is she eats some of her meal then claims to be “done” or have a “tummy ache” and wants to leave the table and go play.  So the other day I refused to let her go.  No play.  No bed.  Just sit.  She insisted she was “done” and kept pushing the food away. I made her stay in her seat.

She fell asleep at the table.

I moved her to her bed.

Three hours later she threw up.

Repeatedly for the next day.

  1. Awww poor baby! We’ve all done that though so don’t feel guilty!

  2. Whoops! My daughter has ALWAYS eaten small portions throughout the day. It’s annoying for parents but healthier for the kids!!!

  3. Poor Abby, poor Kim! As everyone has already said – we have all done this, it is just part of motherhood, welcome to our club. Wish I could tell you it won’t happen again, but it will… And I agree, even sick and sleeping on the table, she is gorgeous.
Hope she is all better now. HUGS to you both.

  4. Ah, there’s nothing like a mother’s guilt. Poor baby, it probably won’t make you feel better, but we’ve all been there…
