Abby had a cold and a slight fever a few days ago. She didn’t sleep much a few nights ago and was pretty tired the next day.
I gave her everything she asked for.
Turned on her favorite show of the moment (Veggie Tales).
And pulled the table close so she could reach her snack.
She woke up about 2 hours later.
That was just the beginning….
I got a call on Friday that my son was sick at school and needed to be picked up. I had Abby and my niece here and didn’t have the second car seat installed. It was barely 20 degrees out and there was snow on the ground. It took me over 45 minutes round trip to pick him up from school less than 5 minutes away.
Fun times.
Today was lousy. Last night my son was up all night with a fever, cough and stomach ache, and tonight Abby is being annoying not going to sleep.
Hopefully we can all get some sleep tonight.
I don’t remember getting sick as a kid as much as my kids do. Someone said it was first grade, then it gets better. I hope so. Every other week around here someone has something.
Oh no! I hope they are feeling better. We have been really lucky so far and none of the boys have gotten sick this winter. I just hope it stays that way. Stay safe and warm with all the weather headed your way!
Aww, poor kiddos, and mom too! I hope you all are feeling better and getting some much needed rest! There is so much stuff going around in our area too, I just want to follow everyone around with a can of Lysol, lol!
This particular fall and winter seem to be pretty bad as far as illness goes . . . in our house and at our schools.
It’s not fun when you’re babies are sick. Hope they feel better soon. That pic is priceless.

This year hasn’t been to bad yet, but I’m staying at home and out of the stores more too because of all the snow and cold. My daughter says everyone is sick at her school, so I’m bracing myself! I swear when the kids get sick I act like the world is coming to an end and go crazy!
Aww poor thing! i hear ya on the sick thing. My kids have been passing stuff back and forth since October. I would say that I had a full week off this week (b/c I thought I was going to make it 7 days without someone being sick) but my oldest just finished her Amoxicillan and still has white spots on her throat and now the other 2 are saying their throats hurt too. Sooo…yeah we’re all back to our new normal…sick! :( Blah….

Does it seem worse this year? It does to me…
Yeah but it has never lasted this long before. And I’m dead serious when I say they’ve been sick since October. The week before Halloween is when they all 3 got the stomach flu (at the same time) and it’s been back and forth colds and flus ever since. Every week.
I don’t know what’s going on this year but I don’t like it! I think some of it has to do with the fact that my youngest is in preschool and still sucks her thumb so she picks up a lot and brings it home. Then when one of them gets it they pass it around and since their immune systems are down and all funked up they catch it again. lol
