My son loves clothes.
At 7 years old, as much as he is all boy and comes in from outside most days covered in dirt and grass stains, he also likes to look good when he is dressed for school and other activities where rolling around in the grass isn’t a part of it.
Recently he insisted he need a tie for “Grand Friends Day” at school and proceeded to pick out a new shirt, a tie and a vest to make his outfit complete. He was quite proud of himself and knew he looked dapper in his new threads.
With fall upon us and winter quickly approaching, we have no choice but to don jackets and coats in order to keep warm against the quickly falling temps. In the past I used to buy my kids outwear from wherever I could get stuff cheapest but quickly realized the error of my ways. Quality matters when it comes to kids clothes, especially if you hope to get more than 1 season out of it, which I always buy a little big in order to do just that.
Eddie Bauer is one place you can count on for quality kid’s outwear that also incorporates great style. Making both my son and I very happy.
And we are both very happy with the Eddie Bauer Boys’ 1936 Skyliner Model Down Jacket.
What a great looking jacket! We both like it because it reminds us of my husband’s aviator style jacket, but with more of a vintage style to it. It can be worn with jeans or dressed up with slacks and a tie. It’s very versatile.
The quality is unmatched. I just can’t imagine this jacket ever falling apart after even years of wear. The material is great, soft yet durable and the down filling will keep him warm even though the jacket doesn’t look thick enough to take him into winter, I have no doubt that it will.
My son is 7 years old and generally wears a 7x or an 8 but he’s also pretty slim. I ordered this jacket in a medium for him which is generally a 10/12. The small is a 7/8 and I felt we would only get a single season out of it, so I opted for the medium. What’s great is that while the sleeves and body are a bit long, the cuffs are designed to keep warmth in so they are still snug fitting around the wrist keeping the sleeves up closer to where they belong and not hanging down too far. We will get at least 2 years out of this jacket, but possibly even 3, 4 or 5!
You can purchase the Boys’ 1936 Skyliner Model Down Jacket from Eddie Bauer on their website for $89.95. Sizes are available from 3/4 up to size 14. Right now there is free shipping on any outwear purchase as well!
