I had often wondered how people took full screen captures of their entire web page, not just the area visible on the screen, like this:
So today I decided to search the web for an answer, and for Firefox users, the answer is quite simple and best of all, it is FREE.
Pearl Crescent Page Saver is a Firefox extension that with basically just the click of a button allows you to save a web page as a PNG or JPEG file. And you can save just the visible area or the whole thing like I show in the image above.
To install Page Saver in Firefox, all you need to do is go to “tools” then “Add-ons” and click “Get Add-ons” on the top left. You will see a search box near the top, type “Pearl Page Saver” into the box and click the magnifying glass. Install it from the search results. You can also install it from the Firefox Add-ons page: Pearl Crescent Page Saver Basic 2.1.
Page Saver will add a small camera icon to the top right of your Firefox browser. Clicking on the arrow next to the icon shows you the available options. It is quick and easy, and I love hearing the little camera shutter sound as it saves it.
