Two years ago, Jake asked Santa for a “red mustang” for Christmas. He didn’t mean a real one (well I’m sure he wouldn’t have complained), he meant one for kids that is powered that he could drive on the sidewalk. Like any good parent who wants their child to be happy, Jake did NOT get a red mustang for Christmas. He couldn’t use it in winter and that would have been his only gift that year because of the cost. I did do some research trying to read reviews about those types of products, what the age range is, the cost, the reliability, etc. but really struggled finding a good place to check out all of the best available brands and models in one place.
Now, there is a resource for parents interested in these types of electric ride on toys for their kids. RideOnToys.net provides reviews and information on all types of ride on toys including wagons, and even rocking horses. The site is rather new, but already they seem to have a lot of products listed. In all the research I did for Jake I had no idea there were so many different types and styles of these toys, and the way they have it arranged by categories makes it easy to narrow down what you are looking for.
In the end, Jake got a John Deere Gator last summer at a garage sale so he is happy, but as he gets older and outgrows it, we may have to move on to the next stage in ride on toys, and when I do, I’ll be heading over to RideOnToys.net for more information.
