Last night my daughter and I had the honor of attending a Chicago Fire Professional Soccer game at Toyota Park in Bridgeview, Illinois.
Not only did we attend the game, we got to enjoy it in style in the Quaker suite!
I admit we are not big soccer fans, but we are sports fans and are happy to root on the home team. Abby was excited to attend and I was really looking forward to the experience as well.
We arrived and it was really fun to see all the die-hard fire fans with their team gear and tailgating accessories in the parking lot. We made our way up to the Quaker suite and were greeting by a rep from Quaker and a nice spread of food and Quaker goodies. Toyota Park is an outdoor stadium, but the suites have both an indoor and an outdoor area, it was quite roomy – there were easily 7 adults and around 7 kids in the suite and it didn’t feel overly crowded at all. I spent most of my time outside, despite the cold and the rain it was actually fairly comfortable under the cover of the awning.
As I mentioned, we have never really been soccer fans but I was struck by the loyalty of the Fire fans. The stadium wasn’t full but it sure sounded like it was. After one game, I am now a fan and hope to return!
But I’m not the only one.
The second the activities started on the field, Abby was drawn in. Sparky, the Fire’s Dalmation Dog Mascot ran around the field entertaining us all, and when the game started she watched with awe. Although after a while she grew more interested in the yummy food that was provided, and then she found a friend in MJ’s daughter (from Chicagonista) and spent her time playing with her, stopping only to watch the fireworks when the Fire scored.
Although she pouted when the game ended.

But this is not just about the Chicago Fire, this is also about Quaker and their partnership with the team.
Quaker is all about fueling a healthy lifestyle and oatmeal has been shown to have so many positive benefits for our health and our hearts. Quaker products make it so easy to incorporate those benefits into your life with a huge variety of products to fit into every lifestyle.
Quaker gave Abby and I wonderful gift as we left the suite that evening to head home.

The gift included: A Sparky Fire bobblehead, a Fire soccer ball, and a variety of Quaker products – Real Medleys, Cookies, Oats, Chewy Bars, Quaker Oatmeal Squares, and the cool thing is, I get to give away and identical prize to one of you!
