PetSmart Charities National Adoption Weekend is coming up right around the corner again!
The weekend is a three-day adoption even held from November 13 through 15. PetSmart holds this event four times every year. This massive event hosts a large selection of dogs and cats available for adoption all across North America!
During PetSmart’s Charities National Adoption Weekend approximately 15,000 fuzzy buddies will find homes!
Take a peek at the available cats and dogs using Petsmart’s Find A Pet before you make way to your local PetSmart. There you will be able to view pictures and read a short little bio about the dog/cat you are interested in. Find your local Petsmart using the PetSmart Store Locator.
PetSmart Charities National Adoption Weekend Event will have animal welfare organizations, and local humane societies on site to answer any questions that you may have about vet care, adoption policies etc for each companion. You may contact your local store to find out which organizations will be present during the adoption event.
When it comes to our furry friends, adoption is very important. my family and I are very familiar with the adoption process. It is detailed oriented especially if you have children, but definitely worth all the time and effort that is put into finding the perfect furry addition to your family!
Let me tell you a little bit about Toby….my family and I went to an adoption event and were looking around at all the dogs wanting to go home. We weren’t actually looking for a new family member, but in some ways we are always looking for a new family member. It’s weird, I know, but we love dogs!
After meeting lots of wet noses and wagging tails we saw Toby, a medium sized Schnauzer/Terrier mix with a unique hairstyle! We knew at first sight there was something special about him. We proceeded to ask questions about Toby. After learning his background and breed we felt that he would be a good fit for our lifestyle. We then asked to interact with him. Right away Toby knew we were his family, he immediately attacked my daughter with tons of kisses!
He chose us!
We were all absolutely elated, and it’s been happily ever after ever since. He offers unconditional loyalty and love and the only thing he really asks for in return is food and lots of scratches behind the ears.
Dogs can truly help make people happier and I can’t imagine not having a dog in our lives. He truly brings simple joy and laughter into every single day.
There are so many homeless cats and dogs that would love to have a family to call their own, and to be a part of your life, so stop on by your local PetSmart for the PetSmart Charities National Adoption Weekend November 13 through 15.
