Awhile back I told you I was going to be traveling in style with some new luggage from eBags.
Well, I wanted to follow up with you and share my experiences with the bags and give you some ins and outs of some of the great features of these unique suitcases because they served me well on my trip.
eBags sent me everything my husband and I need for traveling, including suitcases, packing cubes and a day bag.
Take a look:

We received:
- eBags Mother Lode TLS Junior 25″ Wheeled Duffel (large green bag)
- eBags Mother Lode TLS Mini 21″ Wheeled Duffel (smaller green bag)
- eBags Packing Cubes – 3pc Set (2 sets)
- eBags Piazza Day Bag (small red bag)
About the eBags TLS collection luggage:
In designing our TLS Collection, we didn’t just throw in every bell and whistle. It’s about meeting your every need, nothing more and nothing less.
Which is why every strap, pocket and handle has been well thought out and carefully placed. If it’s not there, will you miss it? If it’s there will you use it, or is it just extra weight? These are the questions we ask.
It’s about creating something flexible because you’re not going to buy a new bag for every trip. So when you’re packing to go skiing, you can fit your boots in one big compartment. And when you’re packing to come home from abroad, the very same bag has moveable shelves that are perfect for securing smaller presents.
All that, and it has style. No wonder it took us over a year to design this collection. But it all seems worth it when you think how many years it will be loved.

The Mother Lode TLS Junior and TLS Mini wheeled duffels remind me more of a hybrid between a duffel and a traditional suitcase. The back/bottom of the bags are a hard molded shell with the front/top being a softer duffel material. The bag seems extremely durable and they really though of everything when it came to designing them. The duffel opens like a traditional suitcase – but it’s better. It has pockets everywhere and the interior was designed to provide a place for everything while keep everything in place.
I could sit here and try and describe what I mean, but eBags put together a great video that says it all. Take a look at a very detailed video of the Motherlode TLS Junior. The Motherlode TLS Mini is very similar just smaller.
I love the way these bags open up and have 2 compartments / sides with dividers rather than 1 big compartment like a traditional suitcase or duffel would have. They really did put a lot of thought into these bags. Another thing I love about them is that they are much easier to pick out of baggage claim because of the style and color choices. On top of that, they really are affordable. I look forward to many, many years of travelling with our eBags Motherlode TLS Duffels.
In addition to the suitcases, I mentioned they also sent us some packing cubes. These things work great!
About eBags Packing Cubes
Once you try Packing Cubes, you’ll wonder why you ever traveled without them.
Imagine unzipping your suitcase after a long day of traveling and everything is exactly where you packed it. Nothing’s shifted, crushed or wrinkled.
Plus, since Packing Cubes are color-coded and have mesh tops, they organize your luggage and make it easy to find things right away. Sure, you can stand there in the rain while you wait for a taxi at the airport not knowing where you packed your hat. Or you can open your bag, spot the canary yellow Packing Cube where you packed it. No digging around to find it.
And if you’re staying somewhere for a night or two, there’s no need to live out of your suitcase. Just place your Packing Cubes in the dresser drawers and there you go. Easy peasy.

They really are like drawers for your suitcase. I packed shirts in one, undergarments in another and pajamas in the other. It was great being able to pull them out and set them aside and not have to dig through random piles of clothing to find what I was looking for. Fantastic travel accessory!
The final item they sent me, the Piazza Day Bag from their Kalya Collection was indispensable during my last trip. It held everything I needed to keep close at hand and it seems to have a pocket for everything.
About the eBags Kalya Collection
You know when you find that perfect pair of shoes that looks amazing but also feels like you’re walking on air?
That’s what the Kalya Collection is like. Originally created to be a yoga bag that doesn’t look like a gym bag, it’s the perfect marriage between form and function.
Look at any one of the bags in the collection and you’ll see that it’s made with an elegant touch. Each one has a subtle woven rib pattern that plays beautifully in the light and comes in one of our largest color palettes, so you can find that one perfect color, or two, or three.
And the inside is as functional as the outside is beautiful. Each bag accommodates the occasional need for overstuffing by combining oversized linings in the pockets and decorative pleats on the exterior that create expansion panels. The key leash even includes a clip that won’t mess up your nails because it functions with the side of your thumb.
Kalya. It’s so much more than an accessory.

I really, truly love all of the bags eBags sent me. I have tried to find something negative to say about them to ensure a well-rounded review, but I can’t come up with anything that I don’t like. eBags will be my first stop from now own when looking for travel bags and accessories.
Note: I received the products shown to facilitate my review, opinions expressed are my own.

I have the Piazza Day Bag and I have to say, it is my all time favorite bag. It can be worn on the shoulder or crossbody and is very comfortable to wear all day. I also think that this bag is somehow made from magical fabric or something because I seem to be able to fit more in this bag than in any other purse I own – including some that are much, much bigger. I know it must actually be all the pockets and flaps and organization, but it really seems like magic!
Those are SO awesome.
I wish I was going somewhere so that I needed luggage. TeeHee
