I’m not one of those people who enjoys being messy. In fact, I’m the opposite. I’m the one always trying to avoid getting my hands dirty and if I do, I am constantly wiping them off on a towel. Which means when my kids are running around with messy hands, I cringe knowing the potential hand prints I will find in random locations across my house.
But life is messy. And honestly I think you have more fun when it involves a lot of mess.
Thankfully I keep Bounty on hand to clean up the mess. Because I don’t want to limit the fun they can have, that’s the best part of growing up!
Speaking of fun, this years’ Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards will be airing on March 28th and it just so happens that Bounty has teamed up with Nickelodeon to ‘Keep the Slime Rolling‘ with a fun Tweetstakes.
So I asked my kids how they would like to celebrate this year’s Kids’ Choice Awards – and I told them that they could get as messy as possible while doing it.
Practically in unison, they both said they wanted to slime each other.
Well my red-alert mess radar went off with that idea, but it did spark something equally as fun, but with less potential grey-hair forming chaos.
I suggested that they each draw a picture of the other person and then slime the picture.
They thought so too.
So they set to work drawing portraits of each other.
I think they both did a great job capturing each others’ likenesses!
Next we mixed up some blue and yellow paint to make green and we got the Bounty paper towels ready.
Abby went first, she was really excited to “slime” her brother!
She couldn’t get enough of the messy green “slime-like” paint!
But when it came time to clean off her hands, luckily we had Bounty nearby.
Which made me extremely happy that I didn’t have to worry about what she would touch on her way to the bathroom sink.
Then it was time for Jake to “slime” his sister.
He takes after me not liking to get his hands messy, but once he got started, he couldn’t stop.
He certainly made a mess!
We were both relieved to have Bounty paper towels nearby.
Nickelodeon lets kids be kids and knows that a great childhood can be had with big messes. The Kids’ Choice Awards celebrates kids and their messes and puts the kids in charge.
