Last night I had another crazy moment where I woke up in a panic at 3:30 am thinking I missed my INSANITY workout.

I wish my brain would stop messing with me.

This morning I did the day 4 workout.  It was the cardio recovery day meaning Shaun T. killed me with stretching and squats and lunges.  It was kind of an easier day in that it wasn’t cardio, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t a workout.  My legs were like rubber afterwards.

One of the things that originally captured my attention about this program was the trainer who runs it, Shaun T.  This guy has that special something that really makes it feel like he cares about your health and fitness but also that he understands it’s not easy.  I connect with him and he’s very motivating.

He’s also very pretty.

Follow Shaun T. on Twitter and you can see that picture all the time.

I ordered a new watch so I can check my heart rate.  I’ve never done that before just relied on my body’s signals to direct me, but with INSANITY I think it’s more important to make sure I’m in the right zone for maximum results.  I wanted a watch with a strapless heart rate monitor and that also tracked my calories burned and I found this one on Amazon for a GREAT PRICE ($60 everywhere else, but only $35 on Amazon):

MIO Classic Heart Rate Monitor Watch

And I’m already impressed with their customer service.  I had a question about how exactly to track calories burned so I went on the MIO website and used their contact form to ask.  They responded in like 10 minutes from my original email.

I can’t wait it try it out tomorrow during my workout.

Note: I was sent the INSANITY workout program to try and share my feedback on my blog.  The sweat, and opinions produced during my use of the program are my own.

So impressed that you are working so hard at this. I wish I thought I was in good enough shape to try it. :-) I’m doing the 30 Day Shred though and hoping to see results! Keep it up!!

Holy crap Kim! I almost forgot to come check for some Abs today, (technically yesterday but who’s keeping track)
Glad I remembered because this is THE best yet!
My Jazzercise inst. loves lunges.. I do not. They do work though! Nice looking watch! I didn’t know you could get one to track calories too, very cool. Scrolling back up to savor the pic again :)

How fun to have something nice to look at while you work out – maybe that’s why you are so inspired :)

Thanks Erin! Shaun is totally the icing on the cake LOL. It’s strange how much I feel addicted to it. I crave it. Like right now…I want to pop in the dvd from this morning and do it again!
