What’s that smell?

Wow.

I think it’s me.

I finished my third day of INSANITY this morning.

I feel great but I have one weird issue.

Shoes.

I don’t wear shoes very often.  Even when I used to workout, if I was doing a Wii workout or a Tae-Bo DVD or something similar I did it without shoes on.  I do wear running shoes on the treadmill but they fit WAY different than cross-trainers do and I’m still getting used to having the support.

I’m not sure if what I am feeling is a mental thing, but I feel different.  I feel more toned already and I feel like my clothes fit differently (better).  Every single muscle in my body aches a little bit, but I like that because it makes me feel like I accomplished something.

I slept better last night but I woke up at 5:25 am IN A PANIC worried I missed my workout.

INSANITY is right.

I’m not sure I’ll continue daily updates, maybe I will for the first week and then do weekly or bi-weekly after that.  But it is a level of accountability, so who knows…

Oh, and I am WAY more hungry these last three days that usual.  Bring on the protein!

      I’ve been drinking a low carb Slimfast shake after my workouts. I had them here and they have more protein than the P90X recovery formula so I figured they were good. In fact, the only thing they don’t have that the P90X stuff does is extra vitamin C.

      I still might look for a powder when these are gone, I’m gonna have to visit GNC.

  3. I’m not surprised your clothes are fitting differently and you’re feeling better. Sounds like great workouts!

    As for the shoes thing, I HAVE to wear my “grandma” SAS shoes WITH orthotics or I can’t walk before too long. Thanks for the bad feet MOM!!!

  4. I have this problem when I work out at home too, it feels weird to wear shoes in my living room and for some reason the ones I wear for Jazzercise class don’t feel as good for my workout DVDs. No Abs today? Oh well, those arms of his are amazing! My hubby uses protein everyday and I’m thinking of starting to too. Did your kit come with some or recommend a certain kind?

    • I figured I’d tease you so you will be waiting for the abs tomorrow LOL.

      They do recommend a protein / recovery thing, I have to look into it. Beachbody.com is the website. Right now actually I’ve been drinking a low carb Slim Fast shake after my workouts cause I had them and they are high in protein. After I finish those, I’m gonna look into a protein supplement.

      • Yep, we were comparing hubs Six Star protein drink with an old can of SlimFast we have here and they are very similar!

        Oh, I will be back tomorrow!
