This year, Veterans Day falls on Thursday November 11th and like years past, many businesses are choosing to honor our country’s heroes with free meals. I’ve listed as many as I can find below. Please make sure you check with your local establishments to ensure they are participating in the events.
At Chili’s Veterans and Active Duty military eat free from a special menu on Veteran’s Day November 11, 2010. Beverages and gratuity not included.
Applebees is once again offering a free entree to all Veterans and Active Duty Service Members on November 11, 2010
Golden Corral, for the 10th year in a row, is honoring Veterans with their “Military Appreciation Monday” on Monday, November 15, 2010. Veterans and Active Duty Service Members will receive a free dinner buffet and free drink.
McCormick & Schmick’s
McCormick & Schmick’s is holding their 12th annual Veteran’s Appreciation Event on Sunday, November 7, 2010. Veteran’s will receive a free entree from a special menu. They encourage reservations.
Outback Steakhouse is offering Veterans and Active Duty Service Members a free Bloomin’ Onion and non-alcoholic beverage on Thursday, November 11, 2010.
National Park Service
On November 11, 2010 the National Parks across the country offer free admission for everyone.
Home Depot and Lowe’s
I read that both Home Depot and Lowe’s offer a 10% discount to retired and active duty every day of the year and on Veteran’s Day, to ALL Veteran’s.
Rumor has it that Cabela’s runs a “Hometown Heroes” event for Veteran’s Day and offers Veteran’s an “employee discount” on their purchases.
Anheuser-Busch Parks offers Active Duty Service Members free admission for them and up to 3 dependents to any of their parks once a year.
