It’s that time of year again. Toys are everywhere. And my kids want every toy. But how do I know which toys will be the best fit? I can’t buy them all, and I definitely don’t want to spend money on the ones they will end up playing with for 5 minutes and setting aside.
Which is why I love that Walmart is hosting Holiday Toyland Events where kids can try out the latest toys that have been #ChosenByKids.
One of the toys that has been “Chosen By Kids” is the Deluxe Light Up Flutterbye Fairy. My daughter was super excited to be able to try out this toy!
About the Deluxe Light Up Flutterbye Fairy
Flutterbye Fairies can really fly and now they even light up the sky! The Deluxe Light Up Flutterbye Fairy Doll magic is brighter than ever before with rainbow lights that shine as she soars. Just give your Flutterbye a gentle whirl to see rainbow lights and skirts that twirl! By pressing the button on her decorative base, she will magically lift off into fairy flight. Guide the flutterbye fairy toy rainbow movement as she floats just inches over the palm of your hand. If you raise your hand gently, she will fly higher. Lower your hand and she will follow your lead. Your Flutterbye Fairy’s beautiful dress is surrounded by a colorful aura of rainbow light. Delight in the Deluxe Light Up Flutterbye Fairy Doll magical glow as she glides around your room! Only Flutterbye Fairies can bring the magical experience of real fairy flight to life!
I have to admit that when I first saw this toy I was not optimistic. We have tried so-called flying toys before only to be frustrated and disappointed when they spent more time hitting the ground than actually flying.
But my daughter was excited, so I hoped for the best.
Once I got the fairy out of the packaging, she had to be charged before we could use her. She comes with a charging base that requires 6 AA batteries. Charging didn’t take too long, and she was ready to go!
She couldn’t wait to disconnect the charging cable and press that button!
And away we go!
And it flew.
It only stopped if it hit something that interfered with the spinning wings.
My dogs hate this toy, but my kids both love it and I was very, very impressed with how long it stayed in the air. The only thing that would make this thing better would be if the charger plugged into the wall instead of needing batteries! I know a couple of young girls who will be getting one of these for Christmas from us this year.
The Flutterbye was definitely #ChosenByKids in our house, and is a great gift idea for the young girl on your shopping list.
