Who doesn’t love Build-A-Bear Workshop?  It is a magical place where your child (or you hehe) can build their own furry friend.  From traditional Teddy Bears to Frosty the Snowman, Build-A-Bear has so many different choices that you are sure to find the perfect Christmas gift from everyone on your list.

I’ve never been to an actual Build-A-Bear Workshop but I have received a stuffed friend or two, and have shopped their site when I needed just the right gift for a special occasion.  In addition to the numerous choices of stuffed animals themselves, they also have sounds and wardrobes to you can truly make your gift one-of-a-kind and completely tailored to the recipient.

At Build-A-Bear Workshop^®, our mission is to bring the Teddy Bear to life. An American icon, the Teddy Bear brings to mind warm thoughts about our childhood, about friendship, about trust and comfort, and also about love. Build-A-Bear Workshop embodies those thoughts in how we run our business everyday.

Build-A-Bear is  huge supporter of our Because It’s Christmas Kids & Charity event this year, just wait and see what we unwrap from them!

For the first prize group, our age 2 group, Build-A-Bear is providing a super soft and cuddly friend, their 16 in. Portuguese Water Dog.

This cute stuffed puppy is ready to be your furry friend! Its shaggy black and white fur and floppy ears make this stuffed animal Porty hard to resist. We donate $1 from the sale of this Bearemy’s Kennel Pals® friend to the Build-A-Bear Workshop Bear Hugs Foundation to help real animals.

There is soooo much to love about this little guy.  Not only is he the cutest pup ever, he is soft and cuddly and the perfect size for a toddler to hug.  And the expression on his face really captures a dog’s eagerness to be your child’s best friend.  I was amazed that his fur had the texture of the Portuguese Water Dog but was also super soft.  I know I hugged him a couple of times.  I HAD to test him.

Build-A-Bear Workshop has generously provided a 16 in Portuguese Water Dog for our giveaway, but also has provided one that is being donated to the Household Pantry at the First United Methodist Church in Lowell, IN.  As I mentioned previously in our intro post, the Household Pantry is a unique organization in that it does more than provide food for families.  And this year thanks to Build-A-Bear they will receive one of these fabulous stuffed dogs to help brighten a needy child’s Christmas.
