In most cases, we all grow up loving our moms.
Our first instinct is to cry out for mom when we need something or something happens.
It’s just instinctual, as kids our moms are the center of our universe.
But I’m not sure I really understood or appreciated everything that my mom did for me until I had kids of my own.
It’s moments like when your child runs through the grass for 5 minutes wearing squeaky shoes and butterfly wings while the entire world melts away as you are engulfed in feelings of pure love that you really begin to appreciate your mom.
Because to most people, this is mind-numbingly annoying.
And I wonder what mundane things she must have marveled over during my childhood.
This time of year we all pay special attention to our moms because of Mother’s Day. That one day where you can pamper her even more than you hopefully already do.
My mom has always been supportive of everything I have done, and thankfully for the most part, we have always been close enough to see her frequently.
She has four grandchildren now and I am so happy that my 2 children get to spend so much time with her. I figure, she raised such an awesome kid in me (this is where you laugh), she is bound to rub off on them too.
In order to show my mom how much I appreciate her, I put together a couple of gift Collections on eBay inspired by her, just in time for Mother’s Day.
I’d love to be able to give my mom her dream kitchen for Mother’s Day.
But until I am able to afford that, for now I have to be satisfied filling her kitchen with great small appliances and gadgets.
Check out the Mother’s Day gift Collection I put together for her for her kitchen. I wonder which item she wants the most? Will it be the pots & pans? The stonewear? The fancy new Kitchenaid Architect Coffee Maker? I collected 12 great kitchen items that are sure to make her life easier.
The second Collection I created is more about pampering her with things for herself that maybe she wouldn’t normally buy. It’s no beautiful indoor spa, but I do think they would make her feel a little bit spoiled.
Check out the Pampering gift Collection I put together. Would she want sparkling wine? A gorgeous watch? Organic soaps? I collected 11 things that she wouldn’t necessarily buy for herself that would make her feel extra special.
So, what do you think your mom would love for Mother’s Day this year?
