6 Steps to Clean up Your Diet

Everyone knows that you one way to eat better is to increase your fruits and vegetables intake. It’s common sense and common knowledge. But a healthy diet goes beyond just adding fruits and veggies. A healthy diet means eliminating some things that can be really bad for your body.

But it’s overwhelming to know where to start, and if you try and take it all on at once it can really seem impossible.

But it’s not impossible.

The 6 steps below are a good way to start. But in order to do it you need to read labels. Label reading can seem like a foreign language but the more you do it, the more you will begin to understand exactly what is in your food.

  1. I started this morning but won’t be totally clear until the bad stuff is completely eaten. Don’t want to throw anything away; my Mom would spin in her grave!

    I’m also trying to eliminate dairy and sugar… just get back to basics.

  5. Love this! I have a book that tells me all about ingredient label reading and have read for a long time. It can be overwhelming but it is so important.

  6. These are really important. And sometimes hard for many people. I know many people are surprised by how much artificial ingredients they actually eat once they start taking notice of it. For me it is important to remove the chemicals. People think it isnt important but the body can only get rid of so much, then it starts to store the rest in the fatty tissue, including the brain, until it can get back to it. But if we never shut off the supply of toxins it never has a chance to clean up the stuff it is storing for later, and in fact it just continues to store more of it, until we are so toxic we get seriously sick.

  7. These are pretty simple tips! Getting rid of HFCS and artificial sweeteners is pretty simple – just cut out the junk food!
